The Three Weavers                                             By Annie Fellows Johnston

The Three Weavers is a short, allegorical tale for fathers and daughters, about the importance of purity, and the saving of your heart for the man that God has kept for you.

Set in the time of kingdoms and castles, we are introduced to three weavers, who live side by side. Whatever happens under one roof, the same happens under the other two. When three daughters are born to them, a gift is left for each little maiden - a tiny golden weaving loom, which grows with the girl's growth, on which she must perfectly weave a mantle for the prince that shall come to take her as his bride. The Three Weavers is the story of these three young ladies, their fathers, and the blessing or consequences that come with obedience, or the lack thereof, to God's command.

A wonderful story... this would make a good book to read with your father over a bowl of popcorn and a cup of hot cocoa!
